Recently, the state authority has permitted individuals to travel to Himachal Pradesh under certain strict guidelines. It is good news for all the travel lovers in Chandigarh who have been waiting to travel to Himachal.
Such a decision by the authorities is to prevent the spread of the virus among the individuals. Tourism has been given permission, however, only after submitting the said certificate.
Guidelines by the Himachal Pradesh Government
The authorities made it clear that such a test should be done not more than 72 hours before entering the state. Visitors will have to register themselves on the website for COVID e-pass of state under the tourist category 48 hours before their visit.
Moreover, the tourists will undergo a thermal screening at the tourism unit receptions before checking-in.
Additionally, the department authorities have issued standard operating procedures making it compulsory for the visitors to download Aarogya Setu App.
The concerned district administration will check medical reports, COVID e-pass website registration, Aarogya Setu App, along with confirmed booking for at least five days in a registered tourism unit. Besides, such documents will again undergo confirmation by the staff of the tourism unit.
During the journey, the tourists can make a stop at designated amenities as well as refreshment spots.
Cleanliness and Hygiene
Owners of such food outlets must train their staff to take safety measures and undergo mandatory sanitization.
The authorities also made it mandatory for the staff of food outlets to download the Aarogya Setu App. A list of do’s and dont’s must be there at the entrance of the outlets.
The outlets need to put glass on their take away counters just like the railway counters to avoid any kind of social contact with the visitors. Moreover, packaging of food must be in biodegradable disposable packets for safe disposal.
There must be regular sanitization of toilets along with the availability of hand sanitizers at the entrance as well as counters.
Staff at the outlet must use masks and disposable gloves under the safety norms. The visitors of the outlet must make digital payments rather than cash payments.
The cab and taxi drivers also must download Aarogya Setu App. Online bookings are available for adventure parks, water sports activities, and other tourist activities.
No tourist shall be allowed to get photography in costume change. Equipment used for water sports such as rafts, boats, Jet Ski, paddle boats, life jackets, helmets, paragliding and so on.
