Relaxations in Chandigarh curfew as the cases declines

UT administration provides relaxations in Chandigarh curfew as the cases declines.

The UT Administration has agreed to allow a few relaxations in the restrictions imposed on May 4 to curb the spread of Covid due to a significant reduction in the number of Covid-19 incidents, loss of livelihood for daily wagers, and disruption in economic activities.

It was agreed at a review meeting chaired by UT Administrator VP Singh Badnore to open all shops from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting tomorrow, subject to strict adherence to the Covid protocol. There will be sanitization of the stores. Both customers entering the stores, as well as those who assist them, should wear a mask.

The restrictions under Chandigarh curfew

The marketing associations in question would have to ensure that masks are available in shops and at market entry points.

Shopping malls, cinema halls, theatres, museums, gymnasiums, libraries, spas, salons, Sukhna Lake, and the Rock Garden, however, will remain closed.

Restaurants, restaurants, cafés, coffee shops, and eating establishments have permission to operate for the purpose of home delivery.
