GMSH-16 nursing assistant recreates mini rock garden at home.

After creating the magnificent Rock Garden in Chandigarh, Nek Chand’s artistic endeavour has influenced a number of people throughout the years. Sapna Choudhary, a nursing assistant from a Chandigarh hospital, is the most recent victim.

Sapna, a nurse at the Government Multi-Specialty Hospital in Chandigarh’s Sector 16 (gmsh-16), has produced something special. Her backyard has a garden that is a manifestation of her creativity and imagination.

She created this mini rock garden with rejected and abandoned materials, just like her childhood hero, the great Nek Chand.

Sapna’s main focus has been on plants and planters for her mini rock garden.

“I’d always wanted to do something artistic and beautiful, but I didn’t have enough time to think about it,” Sapna explains. Sapna Choudhary at her waste-to-garden mini rock garden in Chandigarh.

When she considered her natural abilities for the mini rock gardens, she realized she could use her artistic skills to create an elegant work with plants and pots. It was, however, easier said than done.

She realized that plants are inexpensive, but planters are prohibitively expensive. “I figured why not make my own plants and collect abandoned plastic containers to start painting,” she explains.

People began to notice her, notably her coworkers, who urged her to expand. She started displaying these pieces in front of her house, which piqued people’s interest in her crafts. She is now the proud owner of a tiny but lovely garden.

Her mini rock garden is her dream since she was a child.

“There’s also a beautiful little cottage fashioned out of little wooden bricks. This adds to the mini rock garden’s splendor. I’m delighted I was able to complete this despite my hectic medical schedule at gmsh-16 “she continues.
