Chandigarh Press Club helped Tricity less fortunate in lockdown

To be devoid of food is devastating even at normal times, but during the lockdown, it’s even harder for less fortunate to get food right now. At times like these, Chandigarh Press Club is helping TriCity Less fortunate during the lockdown.

On 5th May 2020, Chd Press Club started a community kitchen for the needy for a period of two weeks. On the same day, they prepared meals for 800 people.

The UT Administration played a vital role in the distribution of food to the areas surrounding Sector 11. Khuda Ali Sher, and sector 11.

The news was shared by the Saurabh Duggal, Secretary General of Chandigarh Press Club on the official Facebook page.

Raj Bala Malik, Mayor, U.T. Chandigarh, appraised Chd Press Club’s effort in a tweet on her official Twitter account. She applauded their spirit of service to humanity.

Safety Protocols

It was made sure that the cooking staff followed the safety protocols in the kitchen.

Chd Press Club came out with an impressive and creative way to feed the needy. On the very first day, they prepared Veg-Biryani and Aloo Nutri, a fulfilling and nourishing diet.

It is not easy for anyone at times like these to arrange food and especially for the ones you don’t even know. This is what true humanity is.

Chd Press Club and UT Administration ensured that the distribution is done in a healthy way in the community. They did their best to make sure that nobody in the area stays on an empty stomach.

Not only did it bring pride to the city but Chandigarh Press Club was happy that people were finally eating to their heart’s content. Their thankfulness speak volumes about how amazing this gesture was on Chandigarh Press Club’s part.
