“The isolation facility has been operational since March 28,” said Col (retd) Sanjeev Bakshi, Director Administration. 116 Covid patients from various parts of the state have been admitted here for care to date. “101 patients have been discharged, and 15 are still receiving treatment.”

40 elderly people use the helpline programme for covid care.

Since May 6, at least 40 people have contacted the senior citizen Covid care helpline. In the event of a pandemic, the police had established dedicated helpline numbers +919115516010 and +91172-2219356 to assist senior citizens.

This involves having a free ride for vaccinations between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. As well as medical and critical care at the doorstep. Guriqbal Singh, DSP (Traffic) (mobile number 9370600001), will be working as the senior citizen helpline’s nodal officer. The aim of this initiative is to protect the health of senior citizens for covid care. These are the ones living alone in Mohali by limiting their exposure to the virus.
